Virnews.club pop-ups are a scheme that sends unsolicited promotional content to users' computers or mobile phones. This browser-based scam operates through a rogue website named Virnews.club. There, the fraudsers acquire visitors' permission to send them messages through a misleading tactic. When users go to this website, it pretends to be loading some video content but, at the same time, it shows the following message:
'Virnews.club wants to Show notifications
Click Allow to watch the video'
Users are required to click on the 'Allow' button and agree to receive notifications if they wish to view the website's full content. Yet, Virnews.club has no videos to show, and its only purpose is to make users accept its browser notifications so it can run its harmful advertising campaigns.
Pop-ups generated by Virnews.club can harm users' online safety. They typically redirect to unsafe pages, like online gaming sites, sites with adult content, or websites that promote Potentially Unwanted Applications (PUAs). Many of these ads may also contain malicious scripts that install stealthily high-damage malware on users' computers.
Virnews.club browser notifications permission can be quickly deleted from the browser through the Settings menu. If the annoying banners keep showing up, though, the device is probably infected with an adware program or a browser hijacker. In that case, you can use an automated malware detection and removal tool to clean up your PC.
